Vaccine storage and cold chain management are critical due to hot climate.
FMD, Anthrax, and Brucella (for female calves aged 4-12 months) vaccines are generally considered mandatory for cattle. It is recommended that you determine your vaccination program together with your veterinarian.
FMD vaccine is generally administered every 6 months. However, in high-risk regions such as Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, booster doses may be applied every 3 months.
Brucella vaccine is administered as a single dose only to female calves aged 4-12 months. It is not given to animals outside this age range or to male calves.
Mild fever and loss of appetite are normal. However, if severe reactions, prolonged fever, or swelling at the vaccination site occur, consult a veterinarian immediately.
Vaccines should be stored in a refrigerator at +2°C to +8°C. They should not freeze, should not be exposed to direct sunlight, and maintaining the cold chain is important. Consult your veterinarian about storage conditions.
